Frequently asked questions
Does Storage Optimizer upload my photos or files?
No. All scanning, comparison and analysis happens on your device. The app does not send your photos, videos, files or file names to us or to any third party.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no email address required. The app works immediately after installation.
What data do you collect about me?
None. We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, advertising identifiers or personal information. The full detail is in the app's privacy policy.
Why does the app need access to my photo library?
To find duplicates and large media files it has to be able to read your library. iOS asks for that permission explicitly, and you can grant limited access to selected items or deny it entirely — the rest of the app still works.
Can I recover something I deleted by mistake?
Items removed from your photo library go to the system Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for around 30 days. Other files removed through the app may not be recoverable, so review the preview before confirming.
How do I get help or report a bug?
Email support@codivolabs.com with your device model and iOS version, plus what you were doing when the problem occurred. A person will reply.
How do I delete my data?
There is nothing to delete on our side, because we never receive anything. Removing the app from your device removes its local settings along with it.
